We have recently made some changes to the Covid-19 safety measures at St John’s Shopping Centre, please see below for more details on what to expect when you next come to visit us. Our number one priority is to ensure the safety of our customers, staff and retailers at all times, so we have put in place a range of measures to ensure that St John’s Shopping Centre is a safe environment for all.
Keep Left System – There will be a keep left system in place in certain areas of the shopping centre to ensure that social distancing can be easily maintained. You will see clear signage and floor markings reminding you of the keep left system, please move around the centre following these directions.
Entrances/ Exits – You can now enter and exit the Shopping Centre via the High Street, King Edward Street, Scott Street and South Street doors.
Social Distancing – We politely request that you maintain social distancing and avoid any physical contact when queueing and inside the Mall. We have limited the number of customers in the centre at any one time to ensure social distancing can be easily maintained.
Queue Controlled Areas – Each retailer will also have a customer limit to ensure that social distancing is possible once inside their store, as such there is a possibility you may need to queue outside in the mall area. We have marked out queueing areas outside each store, please only queue in these areas and follow the instructions given by staff.
Hygiene – We have already implemented an enhanced cleaning regime throughout the centre and touchless hand sanitising facilities will be available at the entrance and exit of the shopping centre. Please wash your hands at our sanitising station immediately after entering the centre and on leaving.
Toilets – The toilets are now open to the public; this also includes our baby changing facilities and disabled toilet. The toilets will be closed for 15 minutes every hour to allow our staff to complete a deep clean of the toilets and sanitise all high touch areas. They will close at quarter to every hour and reopen on the hour.
There are hand sanitising facilities available in the Scott Street corridor so visitors can sanitise their hands before and after entering the toilets as well as the usual hand washing facilities within the toilets.
Face Coverings – We encourage all our visitors who are not exempt under the Scottish Governments guidelines to wear a face-covering when inside the Shopping Centre.
Opening Hours – The Shopping Centre will be open from 9am – 5.30pm Monday to Saturday and 11am – 5pm on Sunday.
Individual stores opening hours may vary, an up-to-date list of store opening hours can be found HERE, so please check before you visit. You can also contact us on 01738 629380 in advance of your visit to confirm any opening hours.
External Stores – Some stores will not be accessible via the Shopping mall and can only be accessed via their external entrance. The below stores can be accessed by their external entrance only and not via their shopping centre entrance.
Primark (High Street) – 9am – 5.30pm Monday to Saturday and 11am – 5pm Sunday

We ask that visitors take responsibility for themselves and their family group and maintain their distance from other visitors as much as possible when visiting the Shopping Centre. We will have additional staff on hand, so if you require any help please do not hesitate to contact a member of our team.
Thank you for your cooperation and continued support throughout this challenging period, we look forward to seeing you all again soon.
